Upgraded 7′ Band Headrig at Buffalo Lumber and Tie
Buffalo Lumber and Tie (BLT) company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Midwest Hardwoods, completed an optimization upgrade to its 7’ band headrig. Also, BLT added a second Brewco horizontal resaw station. BLT partnered with Lewis Controls on the headsaw upgrade. The new scanner will provide more speed, accuracy and utilization of the log fiber/grade yield. The thin kerf Brewco resaw allows the mill to saw consistent thickness and increase lumber production. Together, both investments modernize BLT’s capabilities and ability to serve our customers. BLT produces some of the finest Northern red oak, white oak and mixed hardwoods in the upper Midwest.
